Prestige Wine Dinner - hosted by Pierre Seillan Join us at The Vineyard at Stockcross on 19th July for a prestige wine dinner hosted by Pierre Seillan. Thirteen years ago, this native of south west France, set out at the age of 47, to conquer the American west. Armed with his philosophy of making wines from micro-crus and guided by the vision of one of the greatest names in wine today, Jess Jackson, his misson was to seek out the best terroirs of Sonoma County, California, plant each micro-crus or microclimate with Bordeaux grape varieties and produce exceptional wines that are an incomparable fusion between the Old World and the New. It was the beginning of the Vigneron Collection that now includes the elegant Château Lassègue in Saint-Emilon, the vibrant Arcanum wines from the Tenuta di Arceno estate in Tuscany and of course the award winning Verite from Sonoma. For the first time in the UK, Pierre Seillan will be hosting a Vigneron Dinner at The Vineyard at Stockcross on Monday 19th July 2010. £150.00 per person inclusive of aperitif, four-course dinner and wines. Friday 29th October This weekend of wine at The Vineyard at Stockcross, Newbury, commences with The Vineyard Cellars Wine Dinner. Join ambassadors from various wineries as their wines are matched with an exquisite tasting menu prepared by Executive Chef Daniel Galmiche's talented brigade. The evening includes a Schramsberg reception, 7-course tasting menu dinner and matched wines. Saturday 30th October The Wine Fair opens at 11am in the Music Room at The Vineyard at Stockcross, Newbury, and visitors can meet wine producers, sample wines and benefit from exclusive prices. Places must be booked in advance. During the day, suppliers will give short presentations on their wines. A great opportunity to buy outstanding wine in time for Christmas! The Wine Challenge will take place from 3pm and offers both amateurs and connoisseurs the chance to test their knowledge in a blind tasting. All are welcome to participate - although pre-registration is necessary. Prizes and awards will be announced during a glittering cocktail reception that evening where all participants and judges will gather.
