The award winning Ghost Pines range sources it's grapes from across multiple regions and AVAs, with the blend changing year on year dependent on conditions. This approach allows them the freedom to produce exceptional and consistent wines that show the best of what each vintage has to offer. The wines are named after the Ghost Pines Vineyard in eastern Napa County, where the indigenous grey pines loom mysteriously along the hillsides. Native to California, the Ghost Pine can adapt to a variety of climates and thrives in various soils, much like grapevines. This vineyard has been one of their favorite fruit sources since their first vintage.
Ghost Pines Zinfandel blends fruit from San Joaquin and Sonoma counties to accentuate the best of what each of these phenomenal Zinfandel-producing counties has to offer. Rich and complex, this Zin opens with aromas of ripe raspberry jam, cracked pepper and toasty oak. On the palate, the wine offers intense, jammy flavors of black cherry, boysenberry, brown spice and cola framed by lush structure and a long, multi-layered finish.
