Made with grapes grown on the West side of the Howell Mountain, this wine was carefully vinified in small lots before spending 20 months in new French Oak. Robust and concentrated in its youth, it has now softened and settled into an elegant, multi-layered wine that speaks clearly of its mountain home. The palate contains layers of rich roast espresso and hints of pencil shavings, alongside dried pomegranate, fresh walnuts and dried herbs. The tannins are fine-grained and well integrated and the finish long and expressive. A stunning wine showing at its peak.
