An authentic expression of this unique terroir, Rudd Oakville Estate Red is a Cabernet-led Bordeaux Blend that year-on-year provides a profound expression of vintage and site. From mature vines in the Estate’s complementary terroirs of core stone volcanics and alluvial fan and composed for ageability, harmony, finesse and longevity, this is a lively wine displaying the classic Oakville hallmarks of rosemary, black fruit and floral notes all bound together by ripe tannins and fine structure.
"The 2012 Oakville Estate reveals lovely notes of crème de cassis, spring flowers, forest floor, dusty, loamy soil undertones, and a touch of licorice, medium to full body, moderate tannins and beautiful concentration. This should turn out to be a brilliant effort from Leslie Rudd, but it requires 4-5 years of cellaring. It should keep for 20-25 years."
