Located on the river bench of Sonoma County’s Russian River, this vineyard benefits from Goldridge soil containing metamorphic rock. The cuttings come from the Old Wente field selection, renowned for high quality and precise minerality. Its concentration originates from the typically petite size of the berries. Handcrafted using classical Burgundian techniques, this wine is dedicated to Luc’s daughter, Claire Morlet. Straw yellow colour, aromas of lemon drop, apple skin and fresh chamomile fill the palate. Full-bodied and concentrated, this wine displays a creamy, rich texture which coats the palate for a very long time. Built to age gracefully for over a decade, this wine will gain from being cellared for six months to a year before starting to reveal itself.
Ma Princesse is “full-bodied with a Bâtard-Montrachet-like richness and intensity as well as background minerality, this profound white wine should drink well for 10+ years.”
Robert M. Parker, Jr. The Wine Advocate, December 2014
