For more than 85 years, the Louis M. Today, this legacy continues at their historic winery in the Napa Valley with an acclaimed collection of unforgettable Cabernet Sauvignon wines. The jewel in the crown of their vineyards is the iconic Monte Rosso vineyard, from where this wine hails. A deep dark wine, it has intense aromas of blackberry, vanilla and pepper leading to rich palate of cranberry, blackcurrant and sweet spices. The finish has layers of peppercorns, clove and mulled spices. A full bodied and robust wine with velvet tannins and fresh minerality. The finish is long and mouth coating, and the powerful structure of this wine will enable it to develop and mature for a decade or so.
One of the best vintages of the last decade, 2016 produced almost universally superb wines. A steady growing season and perfect autumn temperatures allowed fruit to develop optimum maturity and concentration, leading to wines of outstanding complexity.
