In 2008, Dr Madiah Revana took a risk in planting a vineyard in the ancient river bed of Los Chacayes, the rockiest part of the Uco Valley. Now home to a small production winery and estate vineyards, Bodegas Corazon Del Sol is dedicated to progressing the perception of world class Argentine wine through Estate bottled single-vineyard expressions. Seven hectares of Estate vineyards are planted to Bordeaux and Rhone varieties at 1,200 meters in elevation and meticulously farmed and hand-harvested. These superb wines have been winning plaudits for their technically sophisticated Argentine style. As the Rhone varietal pioneer in Argentina, Corazon del Sol are proud to introduce their inaugural vintage of Luminoso Blanc, a small-production blend of Viognier, Grenache Blanc, Marsanne, and Roussanne that showcases the potential of micro-terroirs throughout Uco Valley.
Hand-harvested from the coolest areas within Uco Valley, these rare varietals can develop complex aromatics, stunning stone fruit, and citrus fruit flavours that are unique to high-elevation areas with intense sunshine. The grapes are whole-cluster pressed, fermented at cool temperatures to maintain their natural vibrancy before aging for 12 months in neutral French oak barrels to enhance a smooth texture and mouthfeel.
