Description

The brothers Michael and David founded a winery on land left to them by their father in 1984. Making bold, classically correct wines with even bolder labels, we love the range of cheerful, well-made wines with enormous flavour.

This is the first Petit Verdot varietal wine produced by Michael David Winery and one of the few ever produced from Lodi. Each year when compared to other Petit Verdot vineyards, the quality of this lot is at the top of its class. Because of the high level of tannin, color, and concentration, this wine is always put into new barrels early in the harvest season.

From the first pour, Inkblot Petit Verdot’s deep violet hue hints at the rich, weighty elegance waiting for you in the glass. Layered aromas of strawberry, boysenberry cobbler and worn leather lead the way. On the palate, full-bodied flavors of raspberry, dark chocolate truffe and baking spice drive the wine to a long,
concentrated finish.
