Carte Blanche Wines

Carte Blanche are heirs to an amazing family pedigree of stunning quality; we are proud to be adding them to the Cellar's stable!.....3300

Nicholas Allen's family have been dealing at the highest levels of the wine world since his great grandfather bought a little estate in Bordeaux - Haut-Brion. Further purchases ensured that wine was now definitely the family business, and that young Nicholas grew up in a world of famous bottles. Which is why he opened his own boutique winery in Napa. Wanting to work very much in the french tradition, Nicholas set up Carte Blanche to have an idea of Terroir first and foremost, setting out and selecting parcels of vines with the aid of Luc Morlet.

The vineyards were chosen with immense care, looking for very precise varietal styles. Each is held on longterm contracts to allow the exact planning of how the vines will be treated over the course of many vintages. With an eye for the finest of grapes in each area, Carte Blanche looked to the Pacific for it's chardonnay and high altitude for it's Pinot Noir and Cabernet.

Since 2014 Helen Keplinger took over chief winemaking duties, fresh from a stint at Bryant Family Wines, having also worked in Priorat and Bordeaux.
